Spring is a magnificent time to enjoy Mallorca’s natural reserves. It is a rather quiet season and by this time, the whole island is boasting its flourishing green landscapes. The warm temperature and the not-so-crowded beaches will be perfect for the walkers, cyclists, bird watchers, and for those who want to catch a hushed moment with the sun. It is in this season that the pre-dominantly Catholic population of Mallorca celebrates Easter in a festive fashion
Summer is definitely the unbeatable season that makes Mallorca famous to tourists. Sun fanatics flock the island during this season, with more than 12 hours in a day of unabashed sunshine. This is the best time to enjoy Mallorca’s pleasurable beaches, or maybe sunbathe beside the pool, go sailing, water-skiing, and do all kinds of other water sports. Numerous sailing competitions are being held throughout the whole of summer. Highest temperature of the year may be experienced in mid-July.
Autumn means the return of the perfect weather for walkers and nature-trippers. It is in this time of the year that the locals can show off their different home grown produce in the dynamic village markets. This is also a good time to trek the mountains of the island and appreciate the local culture. Many local festivals take over in this whole season. The two must-see festivals are the Olive Festival in Caimari, and the Agricultural Fair in Inca.
Winter season in Mallorca is to some extent subdued compared to the other seasons. The bubbly restaurants and lively shopping Centers are the most likely to be hangouts of tourists at this time of year. The placid countryside continues to be a tranquil refuge. The season ends in late January in which the island now prepares to be sprinkled with white dots of almond blooms. The largest event of Palma, the feast of San Sebastian, happens in January, and is celebrated with huge outdoor barbecues and live music form international and local artists. The evening is capped with a magnificent much-spent-for fireworks display.
Mallorca is a year-round great holiday destination with great weather. The surround ocean deters extreme weather.
Mallorca's high tourist season begins in April and ends around late September. The hot summers bring tourists by storms to sun bathe, swim, and be a part of the bustling nightlife. nightclubs throw their most extensive parties over the summer months, brining in famous DJs, entertainers, and running specials. Some places are only open in summer: June through September. Although summer is clearly the traditional time to visit Majorca, winter is becoming increasingly more popular. The sunny days are still there in winter although temperatures fall just short of comfortable swimming weather. Christmas is one reason some come to Malljorca in off-season .
