Located only 5 minutes from Palma airport and close to a motorway connecting it to the main towns of Mallorca, Playa de Palma is the perfect base for exploring every corner of the Island. Playa de Palma lies at the east end of the Bay of Palma. To its west is the beach of Can Pastilla and to the east is the small resort of Arenal.

The holiday season in Playa de Palma lasts from the end of April until late October with temperatures ranging from the twenties to the mid thirties.

During the day, in the Playa de Palma, as well as the beach and the terraces, one can stroll round the weekly market or ride on the tourist train or visit the fabulous water park. Although Playa de Palma has no real nightclubs, it has many discos and karaoke bars which stay open long into the night where those who wish can dance until the early hours of the morning. Evenings are generally much more relaxing than those found in the neighbouring resort of El Arenal. If you just go inland a bit from Playa de Palma you can find a few horse riding stables. It makes a nice change to ride leasurly through the sand dunes and finnish off with a nice cold beer. Palma is a must for a days sightseeing or to have an afternoon shopping followed by a nice dinner in one of its many fine restaurants. The Island offers many activities and excursions. Something for everybody.
