Magalluf is one of the liveliest resorts in Mallorca island. It is very popular amongst 18-30's. Most tourists are
also British and find Magaluf as an ideal resort, as it is bright and sunny in the day and loud and full of atmosphere at night. More than this, it is a well-traveled resort also because many cheap flights to Magaluf are always available. The beach has even been awarded the European Blue Flag and gets very busy in the summer months.
The long beach of fine white sand leading into warm shallow water is perfect for families.

Those seeking water sporting opportunities will not be disappointed as the choice is wide ranging and includes jet skiing, kite surfing, sailing, snorkelling and trips in glass bottomed boats. The season in Megaluf lasts from the end of April until late October with temperatures ranging from 20-38 C.
As with Faliraki in Rhodes, you will find over 100 hotels, apartments and other accommodations in Megaluf all offering different board basis and different star ratings. Very popular activity amongst young people in the summer is the bungee rocket. Aqualand Magaluf is popular amongst people of all ages and is well worth a visit. There is also a dive centre where you can hire equipment and take lessons in how to dive.

Magalluf has two main beaches and a small marina and is internationally known for the huge numbers of tourists who visit it each year. It offers a multitude of quality services to its visitors including: the Golf fantasy in which the player can go three different routes between waterfalls and birds. They also offer Mini, watercraft, motorcycles, pedaloes, parachute. There is a strong team of police and civil defence, as well as medical services, and infrastructure that keep cleaning streets, sidewalks and beaches in perfect condition for the enjoyment of tourists.

The night life in Magaluf is very vibrant, with hundreds of bars and nightclubs. As well as the nightlife there's so much to do thanks to the beautiful beach with its watersports and other local attractions such as the Magaluf waterparks, like Western Water Park with the highest slide in Mallorca island . An additional attraction worth a special mention is the amazing Pirates Adventure which is the island's number one show which has been seen by over 3 million people since it started. Western Water Park has the highest slide in Mallorca and has quite a few shows to keep everyone amused. Marineland has a great selection of sea creatures on display including dolphins, penguins and sharks. The dolphin school and shows are great entertainment.

The location of Magaluf is also ideal to enjoy other activities and places of interest. Golf courses are nearby, the Palma de Mallorca City is only a 20 minute taxi drive away. Puerto Portals with excellent restaurants and where the celebrities hang out is only 8 euros in a taxi if you fancy a change from Magaluf. Traditional spanish markets, marineland, golf courses, caves of Drac (the labyrinth of tunnels) the undeveloped dune beaches of Es Tranc, the orange groves of Soller with the antiquated railway that connects the town to the cathedral city of Palma or drive the 'old road' on the west side of the island through the mountains and absorb the stunning beauty to name but a few !

There's something for everyone in fabulous Mallorca. ating out is one of the great joys of a Majorcan holiday. Local fare includes the Balearic's ubiquitous tapas and all manner of seafood. Palma de Mallorca has a great selection of restaurants serving a wide choice of cuisine, ranging from authentic local dishes to a whole host of international flavours. Elsewhere on the island, Magaluf and Palma Nova have an abundance of restaurants, cafes and takeaways serving typical British fare, plus Italian, Greek, Chinese and Indian options to name but a few.

For years, Magaluf has been welcoming thousands of travellers in search of a reviving week or two under the warm Majorcan sun. Unfairly, at times it's been the but of uninformed criticism about its unbridled nightlife and good-value, no-frills accommodation - but make no mistake, Magaluf's popular for a reason.Go-karting, mini golf, bungee jumping and video game arcades will make sure the whole family are never bored on their Magaluf holidays. Hotels and apartments here cater for all budgets and needs; some apartments are more geared to families than others so be careful which you choose if you don't want to hear music all night long!
