Alcudia is 62 km north of the capital Palma and transfers from the airport take a little over an hour. It is a resort
ideal for families as it is located in the quieter area of the island, however it can still be lively. Alcudia is home to one of the biggest beaches in Mallorca island , making it a very popular destination for sun worshippers. There is also a lot of scenery for people to look at including the cliffs and mountains in the background. Alcudia’s season lasts from April until October with temperatures rising to the eighties during the summer months. The winters remain mild, and the summer temperatures rarely fall below 25C. Although the beach is sheltered by the peninsular there is often a slight breeze which is very welcome during the hottest months. The Alcudia Hidropark
is very popular with tourists. Here, you will find slides, swimming pools, boating pools and a wave pool as well as refreshment located all around the park. Entertainment is often hotel based with clubs being open to the public.
